I'm a person of the past, so I'm not used to game systems where online is the default.
Yesterday I was playing World on Steam, and a stranger showed up in my hub freaked me out, but I guess it's a system where when you start the game, you automatically create a hub open to the whole world...
I have two Switch Pro Controllers, so maybe it'd be good to just designate one for PC use.
It's really hard to press ZR on the controller I'm using for PC right now, which is being kind of a hindrance, so I want to get a proper one...
For some reason I'm able to use super-strong armor and weapons from the start, so I keep progressing without any impediments...
I'm sure I played World, but it's interesting how I don't remember it at all. I did remember the old lady who stood against Odogaron.
I played just a little bit of World, but I didn't know at the time that they'd added Critical Eye or Iai Slash or Helmsplitter, so I absolutely didn't play any of World.

There was no YouTube at the time, and you couldn't refer to other people's play, so I looked at sites outlining techniques and played the heck out of it figuring out how to manuever on my own, and I really enjoyed that...
Star Fox 64 score attackers have a perverse playstyle where they charge to lock on to enemies, do a special input to fire without the shots locking on, and don't hit directly so the explosion hits around the enemy and racks up a bigger bonus - and in elementary school, I engaged in that perverse play all the time.
When I say "I played lots of Star Fox 64," 9 times out of 10 people think I mean versus matches, but I was playing the main mode over and over and over figuring out how to shoot the enemies that appear at fixed points to get the highest score, so it's no different from what I'm doing in Monster Hunter now. (in the camp of playing games as a way to face herself)

Had a saddening dream where I was taking the train home, but went back to the home I used to live in by mistake.
I remember going to a French restaurant with a ton of different cheeses knowing nothing about cheese, seeing the descriptions in the menu, and having a conversation like "Washed-rind? What, so they wash it???" (apparently they really do wash it)
It's neat how cheese is incredibly varied to the point of "are these seriously the same food???", and the whole process of making it by involving mold in different ways for different types is wild.

Emmental cheese has a charming look to it, but I find it surprisingly plain when I actually eat it.
