I was wondering what the opposite of Bikkuri [Surprised] Donkey is, and I think it might be Serene Mario.

Not to say being more realistic means it's better, but I believe even fantasy is higher quality if it's created with an understanding of reality.

And I mean, that feels more realistic. I think there are lots of girls who seem empty-headed on the surface but are actually clever. Try listening to my songs while thinking about that kind of thing...

Though yeah, personally, girls who are conscious of stuff are more my style than absentminded girls...

But then, girls who don't realize they're not honest with their feelings are also cute...

Girls who aren't honest about their feelings, but are aware they're not honest about their feelings, are cute, huh.

I'm actually gonna get to work now.

Furthermore, I have some just-squeeze whipped cream I bought to put on pancakes left in the fridge. If you're clever, perhaps you've already caught on.

I'm considering the situation, to determine when I should unleash this special move of mine.

Isn't having a single pudding left in the fridge similar to having a full special gauge?

"Justice" and "evil" are just subjective and vague concepts anyway, so if you think of values as simply "for me" or "not for me," and leave or try not to get involved when they're the latter, the world would be more peaceful... Spending 50 hours a day thinking about this.

Ultimately, there's people who genuinely look at issues of discrimination and try to get rid of them, and then there's people who want to feel good about "fighting for justice" no matter what it is, and the latter going overboard just causes new discrimination... I've seen that happen a lot... Let's all live peacefully.

I'm a woman who supports diversity, so I think it's good that even if the bass stays in the low range supporting the song, there can also be a tricky melody playing in the high range.

Supporting diversity means recognizing new values, but it doesn't mean you gotta reject existing values! It's fine if a woman does chores and a man works, and it's fine if a man does chores and a woman works, or if either do whatever - ain't that supporting diversityyy?!

Come to think of it, weren't they updating the MIDI standard and increasing the control change resolution to 128ths?? When's that? Wonder if that'll make things a little more live-like... Might not if the synths don't support it, though...

Velocity basically means the speed with which the keyboard is hit, so "huge" isn't the right word there, huh. But in most cases, it's the strength assigned to the speed at which the keyboard is being played, so I tend to use the weird wording of "huge velocity."

I guess the most overwhelming difference between manual composition and a recording is dynamic range, but I really want the notes to stand out, so I tend to set all the velocities huge...

I know I'm a mouse-inputter, so whatever, but if a skilled player's performance was turned into MIDI data and played with Keyscape, I honestly don't know if I could tell whether it was live or not... It's amazing how they replicate that special recording feel.

I can understand why the artificialness leaks out for instruments like horns and strings where the note connections are tricky, but... I think the trickiest to discern might be piano. The Keyscape piano is seriously nuts.

If you record the sound of hitting drums and just play it like that, it feels like it'd be relatively easy to emulate a live performance compared to other instruments. But I can instantly tell when it's done manually, which is super strange... What's the difference there, I wonder... Feels like a live recording and a sampled synth are different from the very first hit.

When I listen to music, I have an unbreakable habit of immediately analyzing what instruments were recorded and what instruments were done manually...

Dammiiiiiiiiiit! Break through social distancing and let me make abundant contact alreadyyyyy!!!!!

You'd think since you're stuck inside you have time to do a lot of work, but my mind's worn down and my efficiency has dropped dramatically. I'm thinking about how the time I spent meeting people and talking and laughing and crying even when I was like "I don't have time" was important to me...

April 13th, 2020

I got stuck on lyrics today and played ball with my cat instead. When you think for hours on end and can only progress one or two lines, it really feels like you're being crushed by your own powerlessness. The hardest part of writing might be keeping confidence in yourself.

That skit where I say "harmoniously oscillate" and Soshina retorts with "It's a uniform circular motion projection!!" (the skit is non-existent)

I'm an adolescent, so when I see kiss scenes after confessions on Terrace House, I think "So this is how men and women, and women and women, and men and men, and all other couples let their feelings overlap..." while I harmoniously oscillate 600 times every second.

I dun' get no complicated talk about theory, so I leave all that beeswax to peeps who know that stuff. :door: :woman: :dash:

The last example song is my original, so I hope you'll listen to it.
[VOCALOID] Friendship [Kagamine Rin]

[Retweeting half-diminished lecture] If even 1 in 1000 people laughs at the "golden sesame sauce," that's fine. Please laugh...

Even my songs that sound super-live aren't live, so I wanna record them live.

I released the cute big band jazz I was making on stream to my supporters in advance! Go listen!
Posted [Advance Release] Cat and Balloons to Pixiv Fanbox!

I hadn't yet encountered Bloom Into You when I made Friendship, but when I listen to it now, I instantly feel like "Sayaka-chan..."

RT @harukawa_msk For those who were taken by Saeki-san in Bloom Into You, and also by OSTER project-san's Friendship, please combine those two for me... And if you were into BanG Dream's Tsukushi Futaba and Nanami Hiromachi, I highly recommend listening to Friendship.

I really like the #9 before going to the last chorus in Passenger Seat Road Movie.

#9s sound like rain when it's sunny, like being unable to stop crying when you're happy.

The first topics to come up for stylish composition are augs and dims, but don't #9s tend to kinda be ignored? I love them a whole lot, and think they have an amazingly emo effect...

I super want to make a sharp ninth lecture, but I wanna do sevenths and tension first...

Betting there's other mistakes too.

Ah, the F#dim in the second Lemon bit was missing the #... :distressed: Even when I check, there's always a mistake... :eyeroll:

I've realized in making music that it's more important to pick up knowledge as a feeling than it is to pick up as a word. If you only know the word but don't know how to use it, it's pointless.

I began consciously using half-diminisheds starting with this song.
[VOCALOID] Decaf Girl [GUMI]

I'll upload this video to YouTube too once I've checked that there aren't any critical mistakes.

And recently, I learned that the thing where the top note goes up by half-tones (like C→Caug→C6→C7) is also apparently called a cliché.

The half-diminished cliché pattern shows up in big band and show music too.

Since everyone's at home, make tragic songs loaded with half-diminisheds...

When I hear a sublime half-diminished, my chest tightens up...

I mean, it's because of the half-diminished there that you're like "Ahh... so the rain hasn't stopped falling...", right?! I can't deal... I'm gonna go lick a lemon...

When people say to me "Lemon's such a good song!", if I went "I know, the way it uses a half-diminished to tie together the repeated phrase at the end of the chorus is so emotional!!", they'd probably look at me like "what's she on about?", so I could never say that, and I'm glad I was finally able to...

I uploaded the chord-reading video I thought I uploaded forever ago.
Roughly Explaining Super Simple Chord-Reading #3.5

I made a video going into the charms of half-diminisheds with ultra-feel-based explanations.
Previous videos here. #OSTERExplains #Dominowns

Watch with English captions here! (Original Twitter video)

I don't really get music theory, but I like half-diminisheds, so this video is me doing my best to explain them.

(♪ Fall in love [- Akiko Kobayashi]) I present to you today the Heartbreak Honcho of the chord world... F#m7(b5)... The half-diminished. (How pitiable...)

Half-diminisheds are sometimes written as ø, so we'll go with that in this video. (i.e. F#ø) JSYK, dim can be written as ○. (Golden sesame sauce...) [Reference to an old commercial parodying the current song]

No time to waste! Let's introduce the nutty notes that make this up! Cø (Previous video is recommended viewing)

C (Protag): "Did I do something again?" + Eb (Sad Girlfriend): "I'm a little sad today..." + Gb (Unstable Best Bud): "Sure enough... I think protag is..." + Bb (Just Kinda Stylish): "Yep, I'm here." That's all!

So they're built pretty similar to the dims featured in the last video! (Top note of Cdim: This is A. Cø: Changes to Bb.)

(♪ I Need To Be In Love [- Carpenters]) In the flat five video, I likened chord progression to stories, with patterns like "Intro → Event → End"... Well, half-diminisheds are like the "and yet..." or "however..." of a story, making you feel a little uncertain about what's next. (personal opinion)

F (Intro: Last night,) → E7 (Event: I ate a hamburger) → Am (End: That alone made me happy) → F#ø (Unsure Conjunction: Or so it should have...) (That's not what the song is about.)

To name a famous song that makes good use of this lingering effect... (♪ Lemon [- Kenshi Yonezu])

When you're repeating a phrase at the end of the chorus, it's standard to divide them like "so it was," but using "so it was, yet..." instead leaves a very emo refrain. (F → Gsus4/E → Em7 → Dm7 → G → F#ø - emo...)

And there are a good number of cases where it can be swapped for a similarly-built dim, so note the subtle nuance... (dims feel tense, øs feel tragic) (personal opinion) (F → Gsus4/E → Em7 → Dm7 → G → F#dim - kinda unsettling)

"Used to evoke tragedy in ballads, huh? I understand completely." ...you may be thinking. But øs can show their worth in upbeat songs too! (♪ Fictional Anime Song) A pattern common in anime songs is for a ø to bring in the second verse, while the bass descends by half-tones. (A technique called a cliché)

C → C/Bb → F → G → F#ø → FM7 → Em7; right hand continues Am (A C E), bass lowers by half-tones (F# → F → E)

To name a song that uses this technique... (♪ Welcome to Japari Park [- Kemono Friends])

Like changing from a blue-skies scene to a sunset scene, ø can evoke sadness among cheerfulness. F#ø → FM7 → Em7 → Eø/A (this is emo too)

And lastly, it's the traditional going hog-wild with tons of øs segment. (Ebø; whoa what awesome)

♪ Friendship (Oops All Half-Diminisheds ver.) (D7/F#; practically a ø...) (Abø→dim; takes tension from #13→13) (Ddim/E; slash-dims are emotional - should I write this as E7(b9)...?) (F#ø; standard anime song second verse cliché)

The sound of a half-diminished puts a shadow over brightness...

I want to be a Screw-Up Teacher [Shikujiri Sensei, a TV show about people teaching others how to avoid their own life mistakes] for the Star Wars cast. Luke: "I failed when training my disciple, and handled it in the worst possible way. Turn to the next page... I went missing and retired." Sawabe: "That's the absolute last thing you wanna do!" I'm imagining a scene like that and I super wanna see it.

There are people who've been corrupted by anger, went with the flow, did something without thinking, and could never take it back for the rest of their lives. You know, like Anakin Skywalker.

I'm hard-headed too, and get really particular about the weirdest things, but if that negatively affects my life, it's my own loss. I want to be calm for my own sake more than others'.

The angrier you get, the more you're unable to back out of your initial outburst, the more difficult it is to change your opinions and attitude, and the thicker your head gets. It's important to calm down before that happens. The real uncool thing isn't changing your views, but not being able to change even if you want to.

Humanity should abandon anger and hate and be calm. Let's be nice to people.

Mouse-Entered Performance That Feels Shockingly Live

I want everyone else to love half-diminisheds too, and I want them to also like my songs that excessively use half-diminisheds while they're at it...

Once again, it's a super feeling-based lecture, and it feels more like a showcase of songs that use half-diminisheds well.

Finished my half-dim lecture video, so I'll post it at a good time today...

One month since surgery!

Miracle painting,
Marvelous showtime
With a stroke of magic, put me in a trance
Everything up to your fingernails,
Dip it in alcohol and thoroughly disinfect

I took an afternoon nap and then the sun had set, so I'll probably upload my new lecture video tomorrow.

And I'm not sure why, but I brought all kinds of printed porno to the ceremony. Maybe it could be used for magic...

I had a dream where I finally started my first year at a school for magic, but class was canceled because of coronavirus.

[Jun: "Let's kiss, ah, isn't today Saturday? I'm gonna watch "New Rampaging Sexy Beauty"!"]
Don't make a series out of it.

[Jun (wearing a Cinnamon costume in all of these): "I feel like a super-spicy ramen macchiato at a cafe, hop."
Jun: "When it comes bringing out the flavor of curry, it's gotta be Strong Zero..."
Jun: "Tokyo lockdown is just a whole lot of things not going your way, huh."]

Cinnamon wouldn't say things like that.

April 10th, 2020

I followed my urge to make this, but where should I wear it...

The example model.

Now to think up a full Dominowns outfit.

This really hypes me up.

#Dominowns

To keep from losing track of the days of the week, listen to OSTER-san's songs every day.

Think I'll make a half-diminished video today. What sections to use...

You won't just lose track of days, you'll lose your humanity.

Aren't people who can live only eating curry once a week amazing???

I saw a tweet like "Now more than ever, you should eat curry on Friday so you don't lose track of the days of the week!" and was like "nice," but now that I think about it, maybe it's because I've been eating curry every day that I lost all sense of weekdays...

Everyone looks at social media at different frequencies and times, meaning my announcements don't reach people, so when I post a new song I want it so an extremely loud alarm notification goes to people's devices until they listen to it. (wants people to listen)

It's morning, so listen to Whale Rider. [Retweets Kiritan cover]

[Jun: "I'm giving you money!, speaking of fruit, I once went cherry hunting with an attractive apartment wife... It's a bittersweet memory for Jun, bun."]
Speaking in code.

[Jun: "When your chest gets tired, I hear your body and mind also get tired and you can get coronavirus, hop!"]
Stop spreading false informatino.

April 9th, 2020

There's a lot of amazing people in the world.

Handmade?!?!?!

RT @h0pstepmetamorp A collection of recent handmade guitar solos. Not sure if these can be played for real...

What comes next after Rider and Jet?

[Jun: "I was doing something I can't really say when I suddenly got curious aobut OSTER, hop. Is this what they call an orca warning?"]
Are you telling me to make an Orca after Whale and Dolphin?

[Jun: "If you're like "Gotta do my best on Tokyo lockdown!", it's not gonna last, huh..."]

[Jun: "Why does "married woman" feel more right than "housewife," I wonder? Even though they mean the same thing..."]
I get this.

Girls are made of sugar and sour vinegar.

Make sure to wear a mask when you go out.

Feeling guilty about all your daily actions lays waste to your mental state, so be careful!! When you're not sure if what you're doing is right, that's when your mind is most fragile!!

In a situation of avoiding close contact, they say to use your own judgement about going out for your health, but when the world's this on-edge, it feels like a going-out hunt... Corona's scary, but people scare me too, yo...

Rin-chan: "Don't take my sooooongs!" Kiritan: "I mean, say that all you want...", but then it leads to yuri, you say???

This is absolutely how it is now. [Retweets fanart of Rin complaining to Kiritan not to steal her songs]

I'm especially happy that she's loved alongside Dolphin-chan. :folded hands: This is good stuff... Next is Friendship...

My timeline's gonna be full of whales.

There's a lotta fanart for Whale Rider... Makes me happy... :folded hands: :folded hands: :folded hands:

[Retweets old Whale Rider fanart, including a few ship arts of Whale Rider Rin and Dolphin Jet Miku.]

I think Whale Rider is a song where Kiritan can really shine... I'm sad how she sings better in it than in AI Want Your Love Kiritan, lol. Maybe I shouldn't have put in so much rapid-firing of the same note...

AI Kiritan being made to sing a lesbian song for the second time since coming to my home...

The wonderful illustration was drawn by @fuwacina-san!! :folded hands: :folded hands: :folded hands:

AI Kiritan Sings!! Whale Rider - OSTER project

Well, I don't want to talk it up, so it's this!! [Screencap of AI Kiritan Whale Rider video.]

Though it's not something truly new...

Guess what, I'm gonna upload a video now.

Saying "somewhere" but then turning it into an address is just really funny, so it's a big hit with me...

[Retweeting an old tweet: "Somewhere, Oaza Rainbow", where "oaza" is used in Japanese addresses to denote sections of a town]

I want changing subjects by saying "Takanawa By-the-Way" to catch on.

Once coronavirus settles down, I wanna go Takanawa Flyaway Station.

I forgot what I was going to say after I decided to say it.

Strength is an illusion. The concerns of strong people might seem luxurious to weak people, but it's a real concern to them, and it's arrogant to be skeptical about what someone else is going through.

I don't think people who are only strong or only weak exist in the first place. Only-strong people have weaknesses too, and only-weak people have strengths too. I want you to understand what I'm saying here.

A song about a weak woman who's acting strong.
[VOCALOID] Inappropriate Lady [MEIKO]

There was a comment on Inappropriate Lady about how it's not a song about a strong woman, but a weak woman who's acting strong, and I'm like, true that...

I was picturing slipping into them, but I might've ordered them too big... (too late)

Wonder if I'll look stylish wearing my Dominowns T-shirt, slipping into high-waist wide-leg pants, and donning a mountain parka or nylon jacket...

Isn't this "square image printed on a plain white T-shirt" thing a little popular lately? Do they have them at Lowry's?

I'm gonna look so good in my Dominowns T-shirt.

For things like this, you lose if you come to your senses.

What am I even doing.

There! [Screenshot of the below image and "#Dominowns" on a white T-shirt, then an order confirmation.]

#Dominowns

You get a lot from meeting and talking to all sorts of people, and lots of creative work can originate from that, and I feel like my mind'll run dry if this situation persists, so I gotta figure out something or another...

Lyrics don't really come to you if you aren't enriching your life, huh? I'm sure it's different for different people, but that's how it is for me...

I want a T-shirt that says "Dominowns."

Geeeeez, I can't meet anyone anyway, so I'm gonna use makeup and do my hair to have a home fashion show even though I'm not going to meet anybody, jerk!! Corona, you dummy!

Even minus coronavirus, it's bad for me to sit for long periods, so when WILL I be able to go again...? :crying: It's super unkempt...

I'm regretting not having gone to the hairdresser before my surgery.

I just finished putting an absurd amount of energy into making a song, so my motivation has left the house non-essentially and hasn't come back...

My daily life posts on Fanbox are getting a lot more likes than when I post old songs, so I'll start writing about daily life too.

When I'm tuning Miku-chan, Miku-chan is tuning me too.

Sleeping on my Airweave makes my body feel super great (vocabulary)... This is nuts. Gonna make a ton of songs now...

Naturally, you absolutely have to be careful about coronavirus, but at this point it'd be bad if you caught any other disease too... Even if you're at home, sleep well and grill up some good meat. :meat:

No way is it already the 6th... Time, stand still...

The Woman Who Lost Her Slippers In Her Own House

"General anesthesia" is trending, but if you wanna see somebody who had two surgeries with general anesthesia in one day...! (weirdest flex)

These days, there are a lot of different demands for work, and people are able to provide for them in a variety of ways, so as long as they aren't going around breaking laws or hurting people, discriminating over it should be made a thing of the past.

If you're lenient with others and lenient with yourself, things are way easier, and you feel more comfortable... I forgive a whole lot.

Everyone's already pretty amazing for just surviving in this world, so people should be more proud of themselves.

I guess I can be satisfied with myself being clumsy and useless because I'm at least living while purely looking up to the talented people around me, thinking "Everyone's so awesome!"... Though of course, I'm working hard with the firm belief that no one can beat me in music! :huff:

When I say I'm a musician, people say "That's amazing!", but it's all I'm able to do, and if the same person saying that told me they went to a company every day as an office worker, I'd super respect them because that would probably be a huge hurdle for me to clear, and I'd think they're about as amazing...

I don't think jobs should be divided into "respectable" or "not respectable." Isn't it just that those people are needed for something and get wages as compensation for it? And you give them money because they're providing you something you need. That's nothing outrageous, no matter the profession.

[Toro: "I'm gonna go to Harajuku to grab chests, meow."]
You might wanna hold off right now.

Expenses to protect my health hurt my wallet, but they're definitely not non-essential... :crying:

I set up my Airweave... Now my back will be protected...

[Jun: "They were playing reruns of "Rampaging Sexy Beauty" earlier! Jun really likes historical dramas..."]
That's definitely not a historical drama.

[Jun: "I heard if you confess to the person you like on the night of a full moon at Furryket, it'll definitely succeed!"]
It was cancelled for coronavirus.

Thinking such and such way of life is "correct" is arrogant, so if you make a misstep, it can just be pushing your own values on them. As you grow up, your awareness of this makes you refrain from intefering in others' lives, but it's tragic how people just run parallel and never meet that way. Considering that, there's no right way to associate with other people.

Thinking "I want to change the way someone lives" like Yuu-chan might be meddling, but that meddling can save people sometimes. Actually interfering in someone's life is a really risky act, but if someone's struggling, it makes me want to look for the light together with them...

[Retweeting photo of her wearing Yuu's T-shirt] Wearing this T-shirt got me through hospitalization... Happy birthday, Yuu-chan! :tada: Wishing for many years of happiness with Touko-chan...

Just putting petals in your bath makes you smell like a hot spring when you get out of the bath, and turns your house into an inn... The best.

Yuu Koito-san... I love Yuu Koito-san...

Doubt I'll be going to any hot springs anytime soon, so I got petals to put in my bath...

Direct**X

I really want referring to girls not hiding the fact they're dating a girl as "OpenGL" to catch on.

[Retweeting "lesbian song maker" poll results] I meant 2 :eyeroll:

I've already decided most of the songs for OSTER-san's CD Vol. 3... Hope I can realize it.

I got under the covers and was making lyrics and fell asleep. (despair)

The good thing about lyrics is you can do them anywhere...

I'm looking at a photo I took of a piano roll in bed and coming up with lyrics.

I'm in my 30's, but I have twintails.

It's been 3 weeks since surgery, but my legs are still numb, so I'll probably have to live with it for life... :eyeroll: Let's stick together for the long haul!!

Because I'm making this song completely for fun, I can stream it and stuff, but also because I'm making this song completely for fun, I'm putting outageous resources into it and getting fussy and dying to death.

April 1st, 2020

When you think something turned out well, you want to play it back over and over, but if you do it too much, you'll get bored of it and not progress at all, and get in a rut, so it's better not to play back too much... Playbacks are like water when you're eating something spicy...

But really, doesn't listening to the same song on streams hundreds or thousands of times get tiring??? I always get tired of it.

It's turning out to be a super wonderful song, so I'll do my best and finish it.

The time I've streamed it alone comes to 12 hours working on it...

The sheer workload of cute big band ain't cute.

Seriously, I work and work on this song, but it's not getting anywhere...

RT @l_verum43 I've long had a strange anxiety about whether the godly composer OSTER-san who wrote the song Chocolate☆Magic that I've loved since the moment it was uploaded 12 years ago, and the Twitter OSTER-san (@fuwacina), are actually the same person. At long last, it's been cleared up. [Links an archive of one of her composing streams]
I'm also doing composing streams to prove my identity!!!

That song whose finishing touches are yet a touch unfinished, Cat and Balloons... On what day will it see the light of day...? :cat: :balloon:

RT @koji_onsensuki If I'm gonna do a hit-and-run guitar solo for OSTER-san's Cat and Balloons, I'd better do it now while I'm immersed in her composing streams... :cat: :balloon:

MOVIE CONFIRMED
#AprilFools

A super right-now, in my home far, far away...

OSTER WARS
Episode XXXIX: REVENGE OF THE MIKU

After Supreme Chancellor Fuwacinan won the extremely cruel war of the hernia, she returned to her home. Awaiting her was composition work, and a conflict amongst the singers over who had the right to sing.

With the appearance of the Empire's new automonous android, AI Kiritan, the Vocaloids felt endangered, and began resistance efforts.

Gradually, it escalated into harrassment of Supreme Chancellor Fuwacinan. As Miku-chan triumphantly stuffed her face with the ice cream that Supreme Chancellor Fuwacinan was so looking forward to, the Kiritanpo-saber's blade quietly drew near...

A meccha [super] now in my ouchi [home] far, far away...

If the world didn't even allow us to laugh, it'd be all over.

For April Fool's, let's tell jokes instead of lies.

Uneasy times are exactly when you want those dear to you as your side encouraging you, so an illness that robs you of even that and eats away at you mentally is too scary... Even the curable starts to feel incurable...

Having surgery and being hospitalized while visiting was forbidden due to coronavirus, then spending a week not meeting anyone cramped behind a curtain, made me experience plenty of loneliness and anxiety. So I'm unbearably aware how hard it is to be kept from meeting those important to you while not even knowing if things will get better... It's painful... I want it to be resolved soon.

"The emptiness of you being gone, I'll fill with my unforgettable memories with you" is too tragic... Why... How could such a thing happen... I'm making a Kaiji face...

Listening to this song at a time when I'm often conscious of people dying, and being separated from those important to me, made me cry enough while driving that I almost couldn't see in front of me, so they should make a law against listening to this song while driving.
Love Song, by Sambomaster

I'm adolescent, so when I take in a love song, it makes me wanna make a love song.

It's kinda depressing thinking how I can only go to the supermarket and the hospital, but in the world of music, I can go anywhere... Way to go...

The early hospital-going girl gets the worm.

March 30th, 2020

I get in the bath with Miku-chan every day. (hallucinating)

Refrain from going out, wash your hands, gargle, and if you have energy left, listen to my songs...
OSTER-san's CD Vol. 2

Thanks for listening lots.

I like doing dumb stuff with full force, so I'm gonna go full force!

I spent all day today on something a little bit stupid. Look forward to it!!

I learned from the East Japan earthquake that the most dangerous thing is for the mood of the world to cause your own cheerfulness to fade, and for that to further infect others around you. That's why I think you need to find enjoyment at times like these, and why I want to provide as much of that as I can to people around me. Let's all overcome it together...

Even so, it's so sad I feel like I'm gonna cry...

With many depressing things happening, now more than ever, I think I need to put in the effort to be cheerful. And thus, tonight I'm having non-essential homecooked yakiniku. :meat:

As someone who consumes pasta by just breathing, I'm extremely concerned about the current shortages... At least inside my house, I want to lead a normal life.

March 29th, 2020

RT @peisuke I'm drinking and watching OSTER's "just making a song" videos, and recoiling at her skill.
Don't recoil, plz...

Me good at digital music.

I'm too fussy to make progress.

I worked hard to make that solo, but it's starting to sound a bit patched-together. (and so the song never gets finished)

Lots of people listening! [to the solo video]

Making music is fun, but painful. :sniffle:

It's hard composing for no audience, so I want a round of applause every time I make a good section.

Even though my favorite music is undoubtedly serious about theory, because of my lousy personality that finds studying it too tedious, I've remained a field-worker and kept persistently doing imitations to arrive at today... I've done good...

I've never played guitar, so I dunno whether or not this solo could be played as it is, and it'd probably be super difficult anyhow.

In terms of tone, I think it's similar to Bathroom Garden, but the world I saw then and the one I can see now are so disparate... In One Piece terms, it feels like I can use my Haki now.

I think I'm doing pretty well for myself for not having theory or a MIDI keyboard. (fierce singing-own-praises)

Huh? Aren't I great at making solos??? #Dominowns

I wanna think there's meaning to the things I've been doing...

I'm depressed. :sniffle:

Doesn't it ever feel like it'll never come to an end??? I'm so praiseworthy for always fighting such prolonged battles on my own...

I'm working so hard, but even after three days, I don't have even a single chorus done. Formidable...

I don't wanna die...

Composition is a life-whittling act.

Maybe it's the low atmospheric pressure, but I'm feeling iffy...

Nerve paaain... :wince:

Feels like "Whoa! Winter's here!"

The cold never bothered me anyway.

Everyone listen.
[VOCALOID] White Snow Falling [Hatsune Miku]

White Snow Falling :snowflake: :snowflake: :snowflake: :snowman: [Due to out-of-season snow in Tokyo.]

March 28th, 2020

I have an idea in my head while I'm making it, so it feels normal to me, but when I watch the archive later, I've got no idea what I'm doing, and it's super scary how just all of a sudden it's a song...

You should know if you've watched my streams, but I really do make songs by clicking with a mouse, so it's time-consuming and a boring environment and not suited for streaming at all, but thanks for coming to watch anyway...

When people catch colds from now on, I wonder if there'll be anyone who goes out of their way to call it "the retro coronavirus"...

They're Amazon-recommended. [Screenshot of four of her own albums - Canned Miku, Attractive Museum, OSTER-san's Best, and Candy Jar Event Horizon - being recommended to her by Amazon.]

[Jun: "Err, do you think Tokyo lockdown is necessary?" [It's necessary / It's not necessary]
She's running a public opinion poll.

I provided the music for a PV of Nagimiso-san's manga Touring Girl!! The song is planned for release later! Thanks in advance. :cherry blossom: :motorcycle: :motorcycle:

Dawn has come, so let's make an announcement.

If lyrics like "even if the world becomes my enemy" never landed for you, from now on you can just imagine the coronavirus.

March 26th, 2020

When C-E-G is playing, if you play it with something else, like D-F-A-B, or some kind of flat, or some kind of sharp, it can sound kinda fancy or sound kinda grimy. Music is fun but tough.

The "skillfully" is the tough part, huh...

I don't know theory, so to explain things super-instinctively: if you skillfully use things other than C-E-G a lot and skillfully combine them with notes at a similar distance, things sound kinda fancy.

What could I possibly teach people...? Is there anything...? Maybe the charms of Rin-chan?

@_ngtr_a There's infinitely many things I'd want Miss OSTER to teach me before chord theory.

If I had 100,000 yen, I'd just buy wagyu beef as normal, so gimme 100,000 yen!!

Maybe you think it's worthless, but people can be driven into a frenzy by the strong impressions words carry after the fact... Can't forget about the Great East Japan Earthquake...

I repeated "wagyu beef" over and over in Tapioca New Year, but for things to take on a different meaning because of societal events... Even if it's an unavoidable incident, it's just sad!! I don't want people to be unable to look at wagyu beef purely anymore!!

I love wagyu beef, so I'm happy to receive it, but sure enough, now's not the time... On the other hand, I don't want wagyu beef to become a victim among this mood of self-restraint and get a negative reputation...

Hearing nothing but coronavirus news is depressing, so let's listen to Tapioca New Year.

I also fail to remember "overshoot" and say "breakthrough," but that's not even remotely close.

I keep forgetting the word "lockdown" and saying "deadlock."
