The more you think about speed, the more relative and nonsense you realize it is. It's just a matter of where you put the observer.
I like the theory that even if you had a time machine, if your destination coordinates were the same, the position of future Earth would be different due to rotation, so you'd be stranded in space.
Since the theory of relativity says time slows down the faster you get, if you were motionless in the void of space and touched down on the super-fast-moving rotating and revolving Earth, wouldn't it make you age really fast?
Even if you're told "please sit still," if you try to sit still, the Earth is rotating, and it's revolving around the sun, and the solar system is spinning around the galaxy, so based on your coordinate basis, aren't you actually moving at absurd speeds???
I wanna become a dog, so I'm wearing my hair in twintails.
"A year's worth" makes me wonder if it'll be confiscated once a year has passed, which would be too much for me to bear.
