Being Born

She was going to be born.
It wouldn't be long, now, until it was to happen.
Her love learned that she was going to be born.
He went to work in the day, and would without fail come home at an appointed time in the evening.
He brought her flowers nearly every day.
They were her favorite kind of flowers.
Whenever she was in terrible pain, he held and consoled her.
He was always by her side.
Once she knew that she would be born, she came to think back on many things.
Many, many things.
She suddenly asked her love something.
"Honey?"
"Do you think I'll go to heaven, or to hell?"
He replied.
"That's up to you."
She smiled slightly.
Her body felt very tired all of a sudden.
She succumbed to the sleepiness and nodded off, closing her eyes.
And she dreamt.
She was moving through a cramped, dark corridor.
As she pressed on, she heard a voice.
And she was enveloped in light.
