The title is "Tottemo Super Mario World YEAHHHH!" "Tottemo" (technically "totemo") means "very," so I'm guessing it's really supposed to be something like "Super Duper Mario World, YEAHHHH!" But "MIGHTY YEAH" is fine, too. Intro: "Ping-pong-pang-pong... Master Mario, it's the Mushroom Kingdom! Master Mario, it's the Mushroom Kingdom! Princess Peach has gotten lost over at Bowser's Castle. It is of the utmost importance that you go to the Bowser's Castle Lost and Found. Please, please go." Yoshi's House: "Yoshi's House." "What am I gonna do?! All those Dragon Coins I went through so much trouble to collect went missing! I've gotta look for them! There seem to be five Dragon Coins scattered around each stage. Stages where you've collected them have a mark next to them... Oh, man, what am I gonna do?!" World 1 level 1: "Newbie Harassment." Box before crazy Rexes: "Stop it! You can't just bully the weak!" World 1 level 2: "Miso Soup at Dawn." In the Miso Soup levels, a bunch of things go "dashi," which literally means "take out" but is probably meant as a sound effect, Dragon Coins go "food," and 1-ups go "yum." Box by white blocks: "These white blocks are called "(Mr.) Tofu Blocks"!! Press Y to carry it, and defeat enemies with tofu power! Go get the bad guys!" Box by springy green blocks: "These green blocks are called "Sprout Blocks"!! They're stretchy and delicious! " World 1 castle: "Mustache of the Burning." Um, yeah. Box by locked door: "Yo, Mario. Mustachioed at usual, I see. Huh? The door won't open? Yeah, um, I think you can open it. There's a key somewhere. Yeah, a key. So, uh, look for it." Box by key block: "Yo, Mario. Mustachioed at usual, I see. Huh? You don't know how to use the key? Yeah, um, I think you just touch it. Then, like, hurry back the way you came. And, uh, don't die." Castle message: "In the art of castlesplosion, Mario has no superior. Handling gunpowder with the greatest care to produce a bomb so perfect that no structure will remain standing, it sinks directly into the ground below. With this incredible skill, he has what is known as "Castlesplosion Charisma"!" World 2 ghost house: "I'm Scared! Hauntidiot Mansion." It's a pun on "obake" and "obaka" in Japanese. The same pun was used in the name of a Brutal Mario stage. The two short text boxes in the first part: "Dur huh huh! Bleeehhh, prrrrt!" "Blah!" Box before the crazy Boo: "Mario! Watch out for "Boondere"! ("Deresa.") He... really likes you! He'll chase you to the ends of the earth! But if you look him in the eyes, he'll get shy!" World 2 cave: "Half-Baked Fugashi." Fugashi is apparently some kind of food and refers to the yellow Layer 2 ground. First box: "Butt! BUTT!! It's all in the butt! Use your butt!! Your butt contains limitless potential! Show them a magnificent blow using your butt!!" Midpoint box: "- Caution! - Caution. The platforms ahead are fragile, so please take caution. It's dangerous. Let's all take caution. The platforms are very cranky. Caution. Please cross with caution. Caution. Caution. Caution." Yellow Switch: "Trapping Switch." Or something. That word has a bunch of different meanings. "- Dramatic! The Before and After - How wonderful! With your great and skillful skill, these blocks have been... reformed! Before... After!" World 2 castle: "Unpleasant Castle, Slimy Castle." The latter "castle" is actually pronounced like castle in English, so... okay. "Ha HAH! Mario! Oh, Mario! It seems you've stepped right onto one of my DASTARDLY Slippery Oil Blocks! Ha HAH! When you step on a DASTARDLY Slippery Oil Block, you'd better go find a Shoeshine Block to use!" Midpoint box: "Ha HAH! Having trouble with those Slippery Oil Blocks, are you? Ha HAH! Mario! There's a way of destroying Slippery Oil Blocks! But I'm not telling you anything! Ha HAH!" Castle message: "In the art of castle throwing, Mario has no superior. With unique form, he tosses incredible distances across the horizon, once even taking first place in the Olympic games. With this incredible skill, he has what is known as "Castlethrowing Charisma"!"" World 3 level 1: "Water Droplet in the Wide Desert." "Hey, it's Mario! I'll tell you something nice. If you press the L and R buttons while standing on a fortress or castle you've heartlessly... I mean, rightfully destroyed, you can go in again!" "Hey, it's Mario! Hey, it's Mario! (Yeah, twice. I'm not sure why either.) I'll tell you something nice. There's supposedly a secret entrance way above the ceiling of the Hauntidiot Mansion! If you can get a cape, you should check it out." World 3 level 2: "Miso Soup for Des(s)ert." Yes, that pun works because it uses the English word. "So, how do you like the taste of miso soup?! Since the desert's hot, it seems to have dried up. You've got to keep it moisturized! No miso soup for you!!" Box at the end: "Mario! It's a grab bag! Taking it will increase your lives by five! (not three) Now that's delicious!" (Also, the sound for taking it is the "yum" for 1-ups, but upside down. Weird.) Descending Layer 2 level (first level on World 3 right path): "Fugashi Through Crushing Hell." Or something like that. Box at the bottom of the first area: "Mario! Without the key from the key blocks, these keyhole blocks won't let you through! Of course, you DID get here with it, right? That's our Mario!!" Box at the start of the second area: "Watch out!! The fugas... I mean, the ceiling's falling!!" Blue Switch: "Armpit Hair Switch." By the way, the gold coins... well... on a totally unrelated note, anyone seen the SMB2 episode of Game Center CX? "- Hair Revolution - On that day, there was a revolution in hair. A new first page had been written in the history of hair. Hairless - Transplant" Balloon stage (second level on World 3 right path): "Metabolic in the Sky." Again, one of those written-in-English-things, so you could change it to "metabolism" if you felt like it. "Hey, Mario! It's your favorite food... BALLOON!! Chow down!" Porcu-puffer level (first level on World 3 left path): "There It Is - Porcu-puffer-ever." No textboxes here. Lakitu level (level before World 3 castle, where the paths meet up): "Death-Flight of the Lakitus." "Mario, this place is filled with bad guys. And so, you must transform...! Into the invincible Marioman!" (I guess it's telling you to get the star.) World 3 castle: "Moving Floor, Moving Face." "Oh! Mario. There's something special about these blocks you've never seen before... But I'm not going to explain what! See for yourself! Gwahaha!" (Bowser's most evil deed by far is not explaining game mechanics for Mario.) Castle message: "Today's item is this, the "Non-Existifying Mighty Mop"! A touch of this mop won't get rid of filth alone, oh, no! Everything down to the kitchen sink can be completely erased from existence! With this baby, you can even wipe away that guy you really hate! And it's only 49,800 yen, that's right, 49,800 yen! Call now!" World 4 level 1: "Dangerous Freezer." "It's c-cold here, Mario... If you... u-use fire... on the ice... b-blocks... you can... b-break... them... ....." "Ma... Truth is... this fortress... has a hidden... ....." Green Switch: "Smile Switch." The happiest of all switches. "- Love is Forever - Mario's actions have helped the less fortunate children of the world just a little bit. From this - to this." World 4 level 2: "Cold World Fugashi." "Yikes, the guys here are all huge. What the heck would you have to eat to get that big? How intriguingly strange." Before the automatic sliding section: "It's all in the BUTT. Mario! With such power, nothing can pose a problem! Butt it! Use the buuutt! Remember the power of your butt! Take back the dreams of your butt! Fight, and grasp of the future of your butt!!" World 4 ghost house: "Love's Dinner Table, Munching House." Um. "The ones below... They will be my sacrifices... I need twenty sacrifices..." World 4 level 4: "Miso Soup of Starry Skies." "- Being An Amphibian - The fish-faced blocks are "Gill Blocks." Touch them, and you'll breathe with gills. The 'stache-faced blocks are "Lung Blocks." Pass through them and you'll become normal. That's how amphibians live!" World 4 level 5: "Lose It! Mega-Sized Strap." Absolutely no clue. Maybe it's something to do with fashion? Box by brown Goomba blocks: "Cheese, yo! (Probably weird slang, because I mean English is just so cool.) Hey, you know about those Portagoom things, right? Whaaa? You don't? You gotta have one! It's the new, hip, now, in, flashy style! You really don't know? You kiddin' me? Check it out! It's the sweetest!" Box by the normal exit: "Whoooa! If it isn't Mario himself! You been doin' well? Huh? Goin' to Bowser's Castle? What are you, stupid? This isn't the right way!" World 4 castle: "Fire 'n' Ice Castle." Castle message: "The launch of mankind's first manned moon rocket ended in failure. And with this accident, Mario lost his dearest brother, leaving only him to continue the family name. But he shall not be crushed! Not until he takes back the hand of his beloved! And this thought, he shall not forget! He shall not forget until he DOES forget...!!" First Bowser level: "Red-Hot Honyalala." Not even going to guess what that might be. "Hot, isn't it?! You're sweating like a bear! Man, you really smell, dude! Anyway, I'll tell you something nice. In the skies of the desert, up in the clouds where bullets fly... There's a hidden door!" Red Switch: "Bodily Switch." "- On That Day, Rain Fell - The switch Mario trampled fell to pieces. The pieces scattered all across the world. Why would - they do that?!" Fortress before Bowser: "Secret Society Castle." "Mario! Watch out for the "Koop Elite"! They're, you know, elite! And since they're elite, you know they're tough! I bet they're so elite because they stayed in school! Oh man, that's nuts! How elite of them! Crazy! I'm glad I don't have anything to do with them!" Box way on the left of the dark room: "It's... so dark... I'm hungry... Why'd we have to come work somewhere like here, anyway...? Curses... curse you... There's no more tomorrow for us... Just go and stomp us so we can rest... You jerk..." Castle message: "The stubborn castle crumbles before Mario's well-built body as if made of sand...! His feet are the feet that will shatter the earth! His fist is the fist that will pierce the heavens! For Mario, the clearing of neither a castle nor a country will present the least trouble...!!" Bowser's Castle: "Bowser's Castle Very-Entrance." Based on the hack name, so alternatively "mighty." "You finally made it, Mario. The direct underlings of King Bowser have been waiting here for you! You can't defeat them with any old attack. It might be most effective to just go past them. Good luck, Mario! Don't lose, Mario!" "Mario! Watch out for Su-mash! ("Dosukoi," which is similar to "Dossun" (Thwomp) but also a yell in sumo.) He can make the ground shake violently! But the shock of the quake won't affect you in midair!" Box in the A and B rooms: "Mario! Watch out for the Army Troopas! They're holding some sharp stuff! They're VERY dangerous! Jumping on them from above is probably suicide. The body! Aim for the body!" Bowser's Castle 2: "Bowser's Castle Very-Rooftop." Or, again, "mighty." If you have Yoshi, he gets scared and runs off: (This happens in a bunch of levels to substitute for a No Yoshi scene, actually.) "I... I've got a bad feeling about this! Mario, I'm heading back! S-See ya!" Peach, that's rude! Vacation message: "Peach whispered, "A resounding success!" Deceit! They were accomplices! Mario was struck with shock. Mario's battle with the darkness in his heart has only just begun." Layer 2 cave (after getting the Miso Soup secret exit in World 1): "Fugashi Strikes Back." If you didn't see me edit it into my last post, apparently it's a food and refers to the yellow Layer 2 ground. Text box right underneath crushing Layer 2: "Mario! It's dangerous to go further! If I can't stop you from deciding to anyway, make sure you're well-prepared!" Sunken ship in World 1: "Dead Sea, Death Mountain." Boxes in the first rooms: "Ship's Log May 9th, 895 AD The pirate ship Death Mountain has sunk. The interior of the ship was immediately filled with water. And so our deaths will be here at the bottom of the ocean..." "Ship's Log May 11th, 895 AD Things are... weird. The ship, though it should have sunk to the bottom of the sea, is entirely engulfed in a bubble. So for now, no one has to worry about drowning to death. Not bad!" Boxes in the first big room: "June 20th, 895 AD My right-hand man, the vice-captain, has ascertained that the ship is wrapped up in a miraculous bubble. It seems this is the power of the Treasure of the Sea. I knew I was right to trust him!" "January 9th, 896 A... We've adapted to life at the bottom of the sea. But I'm fed up with this deep-sea sashimi... I feel my body dulling. Maybe I should get some exercise?" "...th... 89... A... I don't have much... left. Now, everything is up to the vice-cap... tain. If I place my trust in him, I hope things will go smoothly. I just wanted to see the sun once mo r e .. ." Boxes in the room with four boxes and blood on the floor: ""With what you have in hand, climb the stairs towards heaven. The strangely-smiling moon and the strife of the land may try to tempt you." This is the passed-down legend of the Treasure of the Sea." "The Treasure of the Sea is my dream. I boarded this pirate ship to get my hands on that treasure." "As the years passed, I came to become the ship's vice-captain. Soon, it will be mine..." "The Treasure of the Sea holds miraculous power. To be able to freely make use of this power, I shall study and experiment." Box in a side room with a corpse: "There don't seem to be any normal humans left, just me. Fish are disgusting... I want meat. Meat meat meat meat meat meat." Boxes in the room before the boss: "This experiment is a liiittle risky. You don't want to become one of the test subjects." "Magnificent... the Treasure of the Sea has easily granted all my wishes. Next, I shall perform an experiment to procure an immortal body." "I told everyone the captain died a perfectly natural death. This ship is all mine, now... ha ha ha... hee hee hee..." Boss intro: "Hee hee hee hee hee... Ahahahahaheeheeheehee, heeheeheeheeeee!!" West Star World level (reachable from World 1): "Open Harassment." "Mario! Watch out for "Hungry Hungry Rex"! If they see you, they'll try to make you into lunch! Yes, even an old man like you who probably doesn't taste good!" Box in kind of random area: "Let me teach you "Procedure 5"... Once "Procedure 4" is done, stay in place and face left, then patiently wait while squatting. While you may fear for your life, you cannot move from that spot... The path will surely open." North Star World level (reachable from World 3): "Freedom of Direction in the Galaxy." Box in a pit: "Let me teach you "Procedure 4"... Once "Procedure 3" is done, run to your right. Don't stop until you hit a wall. Right now, you might not understand. But when you're lost, just remember." East Star World level (reachable from World 4): "You're a Marionette." Box with B-button-block below bellows: "Mario! Watch out for these familiar buttons! If someone presses them, your body will move on its own, as if being controlled! But, wait... what if someone's already controlling you?" Box later on: "Let me teach you "Procedure 3"... Once "Procedure 2" is done, do a spin jump. Right now, you might not understand. But when you see nothing but white, just remember." Center Star World level: "Miso Soup of Fear." Box in a side room: "Let me teach you "Procedure 1"... Once at "that place," don't move. Just press Y while squatting. Right now, you might not understand. But should you be there someday, just remember." Box in front of Dragon Coin wall: "Heeey, Mario. Lemme see those Dragon Coins you got. ...Ah, no way, no way. Not enough, not at all. Welp, can't let you through. Come back later when you got ALL the Dragon Coins." South Star World level: "Koopas On Parade." Or "Great Koopa March" or something like that, if you prefer. First midpoint box: "Mario! Watch out for the Paratroopas the Great! These guys are all over, and they've got plenty of powerful attacks in store! The guys with weapons can even counterattack. Your best bet is managing to drop them in a hole!" Second midpoint box: "Do you know it? The way to the World's Backside... Let me teach you "Procedure 2"... Once "Procedure 1" is done, run to your left. Eventually, you should hit a wall..." Moon: "World's Backside." Box in front of a pit: "Do you know it? The way to the World's Backside... If you know, then go ahead and jump down this hole. If you don't know, you'll probably never return to life." Boxes while falling down the pit: "Mario!" "Mariooo!" "Mr. Mario!" "'Stache!" "Brother..." Special World 1: "Negative World Entrance." Box in an empty area way on the left of the underwater part: "Who're you? Don't just come barging into my room... There's nothing here. There never was anything here. There was never anything here with me..." Box at the goal: "Who're you? Well, whoever you are, welcome to Negative World... The boss of this world is a very negative guy. And he looks an awful lot like you..." Special World 2: "Bomb-Ball, Bomb-Boing." Or something like that. No textboxes. Whoa. Special World 3: "My Stocks Fallen, There's No Hope Left." Box around the middle: "Sniff... No hope left for me anymore... My job, gone. My wife and kids, gone. No reasons to live, no victories, nothing. And things just keep going the same way..." Box near the end: "Don't cry any more. Don't look down... look up. As long as you live, there are always good things..." (Yes, this is the greatest level idea ever.) Special World 4: "Miso Soup at the Last Dinner." Different from the Last Supper. Box at the start of the vertical cloud part: "Who are you...? Why did you come here...? What do you live for...?" Very hidden box near the end: "Whoa! You found me. Your chances to strike are while he's gathering strength and after he attacks! Trample to your heart's content! Don't lose... Mario!" Final level: "Negative World Last Stop." "Bro...! Ahahaha... I've been waiting here all along! All for this moment...! Brother Mario, I will defeat you! And then I shall become number one!!" After the battle: "Urgh... that hurt! I give up! I knew I'd be no match for brother Mario... ...I understand, bro. I'm the eternal king of second bananas. That, we'll have to agree on. I lose." "Oh, right. And one last thing..." "A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!!" If you have all the Dragon Coins, you can return to the gate in Miso Soup of Fear. Altered gate message box: "Whoa! You really collected them all... You've really got some free time, huh...? ... I'm very thankful to you for playing so, well... throughly. Now, head inside!" "This is the Positive Ball! It attacks negative guys! For making it this far, you're one heck of a guy. Thanks for playing! YEAH!!" As far as I know, the only use for it is to go back to the final boss and... "Gaaaaahhh!! Why am I feeling so... pleasant?!" Then the usual "I give up, A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!!" text.
